Seniors who plan to attend a four year college in the fall, have at least a 3.0 GPA and have an interest in media, business, computer science, engineering or technology, are invited to apply for a PAID internship through the Emma L. Bowen Foundation to work at television stations and media companies.
The Emma L. Bowen Foundation for Minority Interests in Media is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create career opportunities in the media industry for minority youth through a program that focuses on scholastic achievement, direct work experience and professional development.
In addition to being PAID during the internship, students will also receive a matching fund scholarship. The internship will last throughout their college years: if selected, each summer until the student graduates from college, they will have the opportunity to work and gain valuable experience from industry professionals.
The Emma L. Bowen Foundation is now accepting applications for multi-year internships beginning the summer of 2011 in the cities listed below:
